Hormone Insight is a stealth-mode AI HealthTech startup focused on empowering women through an AI-powered platform for personalized health insights.

As a UX/UI intern, I have been involved in the full design process of the mobile app and website, crafting intuitive and empathy-driven solutions to real user challenges.

Collaborated in a core team of 3 including the founder (an MIT graduate CEO) to design and deliver 100+ high-fidelity screens for a real-world women's health project, focusing on addressing critical hormonal health challenges with intuitive, user-friendly solutions.

My work spans from brainstorming and ideation to wireframing and prototyping, with a strong focus on creating seamless, user-centered experiences that truly address women’s health needs.
My Design Process
Understanding the Problem
Conducted 10+ hours of user interviews with a focused user group and leveraged insights from 80+ hours of interviews with 120+ women globally to understand pain points, empathize, and deliver solutions through rigorous iteration.
Idea Generation and Brainstorming
Collaborated in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative solutions addressing the daily struggles of hormone management, focusing on improving user experience and engagement through gamification
Moodboarding & Visual Design
Engaged in moodboarding exercises, exploring different color schemes and typography. Incorporated feedback from the team to refine the brand’s visual direction and identity.
Competitive Analysis
Conducted a comprehensive analysis of competitors to identify market gaps in design and functionality, which informed our design and feature decisions.
Iterative Design Process
Designed 100+ mobile app screens from scratch, progressing through 1600+ design iterations from paper wireframes to mid-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes. User feedback loops with experts played a significant role throughout. Delivered 150+ iterations for game mode screens, integrating game mechanics with habit-building features, personalized plans, and reward systems to drive user engagement.

Challenges and Learnings
One key challenge was continuously refining designs based on user feedback. I learned the importance of focusing on primary touchpoints, minimizing unnecessary taps, and understanding the user journey in-depth. User feedback was invaluable, guiding me through multiple design iterations that resulted in a more minimalistic, intuitive, and seamless user experience.
Design Transition & Refinement Through User Feedback
In a fast-paced startup environment, I learned the importance of clear communication and taking ownership of my design decisions. Collaborating closely with fellow interns and the founder, I presented my ideas through storytelling and regularly sought feedback to ensure the design direction aligned with user needs and the team's vision. Taking responsibility and being open to critique helped me grow and refine my approach to UX design.

Throughout the internship, I was consistently exposed to new tools and gained valuable insights. I learned to use Wix for web design, and the collaborative environment enabled faster learning. By sharing knowledge and insights with my team, we avoided redundant tasks, saved time, and exchanged useful tips, ultimately improving our workflow and productivity.
